In efforts to better connect customers on every jobsite, RDO Integrated Controls has partnered with Wilson Electronics, a manufacturer of cellular signal boosters and amplifiers. WilsonPro and zBoost cellular boosters are now available at all RDO Equipment Co. stores in nine states across the country. The RDO Integrated Controls group will be integrating this cell boosting technology into a number of offerings.
Wilson Electronics’ technology prevents dropped calls, undelivered email and text messages, and slow data streaming from cellular devices anywhere service may be intermittent or unavailable. Additionally, the boosters ensure uninterrupted connection for customers who use partner services such as John Deere’s JDLink or Topcon’s Sitelink3D.
Adam Gilbertson, Vice President of RDO Integrated Controls, says this is an exciting partnership that will ensure customers have reliable service anywhere, including jobsites where service is strong, yet certain areas can experience bad reception, such as low spots in mines, quarries, or landfills.
“The connection between our customers, their machines, and our team is crucial for uptime and making sure their business is running smoothly,” he said. “This product is a great solution to ensure customers have reliable connectivity when they need it. Having JDLink send a time-sensitive alert about a customers’ machine that doesn’t get sent timely could be very expensive and could cause downtime. Cell boosting technology will help us get that message more consistently.”
The Wilson Electronics cellular signal boosters and amplifiers can be used anywhere, including vehicles, machines, and jobsite trailers, and there’s no subscription or monthly fee needed.
